Community Can Build Health

CHO has a simple goal; community health and friendship for all members of our Onkaparinga community.

Everyone is welcome to join together to see what we can do, get connected, share stories, listen and celebrate our diversity.

We acknowledge that good health is more than just diet and exercise. It includes feeling a sense of belonging and participating in community life.

CHO has a number of exciting projects on the go and is always looking for partnerships and opportunities that aim to improve the health and wellbeing for those who work, play and live in our beautiful city.

Welcome to CHO’s website where we keep you up to date with current and up coming CHO projects and activities.

Community Dinners

On the third Wednesday of the month (winter) CHO hosts a community dinner for anyone who would like to connect with others in your neighbourhood and enjoy delicious food.

Come along and meet new people, feast on an awesome home cooked dinner, get crafty and discuss key community issues you’re passionate about. All are welcome including children of all ages.

Bring a plate to share if you can.

Check Calendar for dates.

CHO in the Garden

A big thank you from CHO to everyone who participated in the Hackham West Community Garden Visioning Workshops!

They were a great success with plenty of strengths and visions for the garden brainstormed.

We conducted the workshops using an appreciative inquiry method of discovering our and the garden’s strengths, dreaming what could be based on those strengths and designing what we’d like to see happen from those dreams.
